1. When should I make an appointment?
It is best you call me in advance to avoid disappointment but there may be an opportunity to fit you in, so call me as soon as you can to get booked in.
2. How often should I get my dog groomed?
This can vary depending on the dog and what you want doing. It is typically between 6 and 12 weeks. Once you have been to me once or twice, we can work out the ideal time between grooms and get your next appointment booked in advance for regular intervals to suit you and your dog.
3. How much will it cost?
The cost of the groom will depend on the size of the dog, the coat type, the style and service requested and how long it takes to do. Typically small dogs start from £30, medium dogs from £35 and large dogs from £40. Please call me for a quote.
4. How should I pay?
You can currently pay by either cash or online bank transfer. Cheques also possible if needed (made payable to Susie and Scruffy's). Debit or Credit cards are not accepted as I do not have a machine to process card payments.
5. What information do you need?
On your first visit I will ask you to complete a Client Consent Form and read through my Terms and Conditions. You can view both these forms in advance by clicking on the links at the bottom of this page. Feel free to print and complete your Client Consent Form and bring it with you, or alternatively I will give you a copy on your arrival.
6. What are your opening hours?
All bookings are made by appointment only upon availability. Any day of the week and any time may be possible, so please contact me to discuss all opportunities.
7. Can I book in more than one dog?
Yes! I have a large dog crate in the salon to occupy any other dogs. I am happy to groom dogs from the same household during the same appointment. For your convenience, please book in advance to ensure I have an adequate time slot to groom two or more dogs.
8. How long will it take?
This will vary according to the dog and service required, but typically 2 - 3 hours. I would like to allow at least 3 hours for the first appointment to ensure your dog is comfortable and not rushed. If he/she shows any signs of stress or anxiety for example, I will adapt the groom accordingly to make it a better experience for your dog.
